Schläfli {5,3} Arduino Bluebird


 

The image above is an interactive 3D model created using X3Dom. Left clicking and dragging the mouse or sliding a finger across the screen, depending on the technology you are viewing this on, will rotate the text: up or down will pitch forwards or backwards, left or right will yaw the text in the same directions. On devices with touch screens you can also use a two fingered gesture to roll the image and move it closer or further away. Using the right button of a mouse you can move the image nearer or further away but there is no way to roll the image.

You can view a video of Robin and myself performing this piece at The Other Room using a specially constructed docecahedron with embedded, motion sensing electronics which generate real-time synthesised sounds juxtaposed against the vocal performance of the 12 sided text.
